Does being seen more on the web lead to more mentions in AI assistants? I’m defining “being seen” or web visibility as the estimated total monthly organic search traffic to all pages that mention the entity.
These are prominent pages on the web, with a lot of visibility. Having your brand present on these pages means you likely have more credibility, that you’re a known brand.
I looked at the top 50 websites mentioned in Ahrefs Brand Radar for Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity. This is across ~76.7M AI Overviews, 957k ChatGPT prompts, and 953.5k Perplexity prompts for the month of June 2025.
Let’s dig in.
Spearman rank correlations for web visibility vs. AI visibility across the top 50 domains in each system:

It will be interesting to see how this changes when we run this for a larger number of websites.
Make sure you check out Brand Radar. Brand Radar isn’t just another LLM visibility monitor, we track a large amount of queries across all of these systems and you can query for any product, service, or brand and compare vs competitors. It’s more like Site Explorer than it is Rank Tracker.
Plus we have the web visibility index so that you can see how you’re talked about online and the search demand index to see how popular you are in searches.

Those old-school roots are still evident. However, new technologies are here to help you take your blog to the next level. We’re talking (of…
In May 2024, a 20,000 strong ServiceNow community descended on Las Vegas for 3 days of breakout sessions, training, thought leadership, networking, and partying at Knowledge 24. Knowledge is ServiceNow’s flagship annual conference for customers, partners, and advocates. Although the event is typically centred around customer stories, there were several exciting new announcements that we’ll…
Whether you call it GEO, AEO, LLMO, or SEO for AI search, it is a field that barely existed two years ago. Now, it commands its own conference circuit, operating alongside dozens of dozens of established SEO and marketing conferences that have added substantial AI search tracks. Here’s a roundup of all the GEO and GEO-adjacent…
Working solo is one of the benefits of being a freelance web designer. You don’t have a boss breathing down your neck or tracking every mouse click. That’s one reason why many of us choose this career path. On the other hand, no one has your back when things go wrong. There are no team…
We call ourselves web designers and developers. However, the job often goes beyond those narrow margins. Freelancers and small agencies deal with a range of non-design and coding issues. We become the first person our clients contact when they have a question. It happens – even when we aren’t directly involved with the subject matter….
Branding wasn’t something SEOs traditionally thought much about. The real wins were in non-branded keywords, where the traffic and conversions lived. However, that changed when Google and OpenAI turned most of these queries into zero-click searches. For the remaining queries, search platforms directly reward authoritative and popular brands, so branding can no longer be ignored…
